Offerings Summary

  • After conducting an initial consultation we will determine which specialties, services, and programs best align with the athlete’s needs and goals. Typically sessions will be conducted for one hour once a week for at least a two month time period.

  • Each session will be tailored for the athlete’s needs and goals. The overall intent is to not only address cognitive impairments but to also educate and advise the athlete on the habits, actions, and practices for prevention and long term health and performance. Sessions typically last an hour.

  • Young men and women who are not only top performers but who have the information and skills to keep themselves healthy, happy, and successful in and out of their sport.

  • Sessions are usually billed in bulk. Rates will be discussed during initial consultation as they are dependent on the athlete’s needs. For an additional charge these sessions may be woven into another YAA training program.

  • Sports Performance:
Following observation we give our athletes sound advice on how to improve their performance, identify strengths, and overcome weaknesses.

    Hormone Panels:
Means by which to measure hormone interactions within the endocrine system and their impact on the central nervous system as a whole.

    Stimulus and Response Analysis:
Multiple lenses are used to assess our athletes such as the drive reduction and arousal theory, a needs based approach, (i.e. the needs for achievement, affiliation, and power), an extrinsic motivation and instinct approach, and more.

    Preventative Approaches:
We develop skills and resources to prevent the development of chronic depression, irritability, memory loss and other symptoms reported at high levels of performance.

    Causation Breakdown:
Assessing the occurrence of stressful events and/or the repetition of acute stress to prevent or address cognitive impairments.

    Concussion and Cognitive Impairment Recovery:
We use cardiac function to recover and heal the brain and/or central nervous system. An example of this method would include the pairing of cardiovascular warm ups with diaphragmatic breathing while monitoring heart rate fluctuation and deviations.

  • These sessions may be paired with another YAA training program. We are often able to connect our athletes with mentors who are currently in or recently removed from the programs/teams they wish to be apart of.

We also offer clinics and keynote speakers for teams. Specialized programs are available for those athletes who intend on serving in the military.

Meet Meghan McCormack

My interest in performance neuropsychology started from my experiences while a part of the United States Ski Development System. I injured my back across multiple ski crashes but continued to compete for years before fracturing my neck. I began to experience bouts of temporary paralysis and eventually was forced to give up skiing.

Obtaining my PhD in neuropsychology has allowed me to better understand my own experiences but more importantly it has given me the information and tools I need to help younger athletes in extremely competitive programs.

I know first hand what it feels like to experience and overcome physical and mental injuries. I specialize in using these experiences alongside the professional and scientific tools at my disposal to develop athletes to reach their maximum potential in a safe and healthy way.

My specialties include sports performance, hormone panels, stimulus and response analysis, preventative approaches to trauma and injury, causation breakdown, and concussion and cognitive impairment recovery.

I meet with athletes on a weekly basis virtually or in person to advise them on how to build best practices from my field into their training, competitions, and lives. The topics, progression, and style of these sessions depends on the athlete and his or her goals.

If you are interested in my services you can learn more about my approach to performance neuropsychology and book a free initial consultation to discuss how I can best help you meet your goals. Feel free to contact me or a member of my team with any questions or concerns.
